Construction Everywhere

St. Andrews 6/8/11

It was the perfect day to visit St. Andrews, blue skies with amazing fluffy clouds, warm but not hot.  If you are a golfer you might be interested in knowing, if you don't already, that St. Andrews in Scotland is known to be the birthplace to golf and is home of the worlds oldest golf course.  It's also home to what was once Scotland's largest cathedral, which is now in ruins.

Galway and the Farmers Market

Kayak Polo
One of the many activities going on in Galway during its Cuban Festival was Kayak Polo.  This strange game is much like water polo with the use of Kayaks and higher nets. The game itself was played in what looked like a specially made lock on the river in the Latin Quarter.

Farmers Market
The Farmers Market, or what the locals refer to as the Saturday Market, is just what you would expect to see, a bustling street stuffed with local merchants offering a wide variety of fresh foods, treats and handmade goods.
